They’ve done it 👏😁😁🥌
Willie Paterson & his rink together with the defending champions Don Stark & his rink (with team member David Rutherford bravely battling through injury) have both qualified for the finals in February 2023.
Well done to them all & best wishes for the finals.

Open to curlers aged 60 and over with separate male & female competitions, once again one of our fellow club curlers along with a selection of other locals are competing in the Masters Men’s Championships this weekend, as noted above:
Orwell skip Willie Paterson is competing with his rink with Sandy Nelson (Kinross) at third, Jim Taylor (Kinross) at second & Alan Barr (Dunfermline) at lead.
The defending champions, Don Starks (Balruddery) Forfar rink are going all out to win it again, with Billy Johnstone (Kilsyth) at third and local curlers David Rutherford (Glenfarg) playing second along with Alan Paterson (Fossoway) at lead.
The ladies go straight to the finals during the same weekend as the men’s finals in February as there are not enough entries for a qualifying stage.
Pop down & give them support, it’s a great venue with good atmosphere, always a well stocked bar & good food.
Click on the link below or access it through the Scottish Curling website to get the full team lists, draw & live results.
Very best wishes to them all.
