The first trophy of the new season was won by Jim Brownlie with his rink of John Curran, Ian Hawkins & Robin Kay. In a close competition Jim managed to win 8-5 v Ewan Jones higher than the other game between Johnny Nelson and Jim Saunderson which was won by Johnny 5-3.
