Orwell Curling Club entered a rink into the Silver Kettle Competition held between the Fife and Perth Provinces held at the Dewars Centre. Fife Province came out victorious and the Orwell rink of John Curran, David Cottingham, John Cassells and Ian Fordyce  (L to R in pic) claimed the trophy with an emphatic win over Muthill
