With snow threatening outside, it was an ideal afternoon for the traditional Orwell Ladies v Mens match. Four rinks from each club turned out and some very fine curling was witnessed.

The skips involved were;

Wilma Brownlie v W Paterson

S Scougal v G Skea

M Saunderson v S Hay

L McKerrow v Jim Brownlie.

Although some games were quite close on ends a couple of high scores eventually pushed it in the Mens favour with a final result of 13-30. As highest up skip Sandy is the first winner of the Inchgall Quaich kindly presented by Jim & Wilma Brownlie. The afternoon was completed by the very fine stovies served by Angie and her team from the bar.

Unfortunately the competition was brought to a premature end due to Hester Niven falling on the ice and everybody wishes her a speedy recovery.
