Well despite high hopes it wasn’t to be. Six rinks from each club turned out to face each other over 2 sessions. With a good turnout from Orwell members it was hoped we would be able to produce a strong performance but Kinross held us in check with fine play throughout the evening. Congratulations go to Paul Baughan who managed a near perfect whitewash against the Orwell rink who shall remain nameless. Compensation was found by the excellent stovies provided by Angie, John and the catering team. The evening was recorded in great detail by a couple of photographers and it is hoped to post some pictures of the match soon.
